Privacy by architecture

Your most private writing stays private

Privacy here is not a toggle bolted on at the end. Every record is scoped to your account and checked on the backend, and the private pages are never rendered on a server.

  • Every Convex query and mutation resolves your identity from the session and checks ownership.
  • Private pages are never server-rendered and are sent with no-store headers.

Asked plainly, answered plainly

Is this a real product or a demo?

It is a real application: Convex stores your data, Convex Auth handles sign-in, and every module reads and writes real records. Where something needs external configuration — billing, email, the AI assistant — the interface says so instead of pretending.

How is the moon phase calculated?

From a documented reference new moon and the mean synodic month, evaluated at local noon in your timezone. Accurate to well within a day, and it works with no external service or API key.

Does the tarot feature predict my future?

No. Tarot here is a reflective framework. The app offers meanings and questions; the interpretation is the part that matters, and it is yours to write.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Everything is removed from the deployment: journals, check-ins, habits, readings, intentions, grimoire notes, rituals, sessions, symbols, your profile and your authentication records. There is no soft-delete copy kept behind the scenes.

Can I use it without the AI features?

Yes, and by default you are. The core application is complete without an AI provider configured. If one is configured, AI assistance still requires your explicit consent and shows a disabled state otherwise.

Does it work on my phone?

It is designed for small screens deliberately, not shrunk from the desktop layout: a bottom navigation bar, generous touch targets, and a journal editor built for writing on a phone.
